Friends e il quarto album in studio dei White Lies. La band britannica, che affonda le sue radici nella darkwave, ma anche nel revival di Editors, Bravery e Killers, ha pubblicato in estate il singolo Take It Out On Me che e entrato in rotazione su Virgin Radio L\'album e autoprodotto dal trio composto da Harry McVeigh, Charles Cave e Jack Brown, e arriva dopo esattamente tre anni da "Big Tv". Il bassista Charles Cave ha raccontato alla stampa inglese che il singolo "Take It Out On Me" era inizialmente intitolato "89-1-3" ed era ispirato a un anonimo che commentava su Instagram con citazioni pseudo-bibliche e pubblicava video in cui annunciava strane numerologie; poi, su consiglio esterno, decisero di pubblicarlo come primo singolo, scrivendo anche un testo
