Ignorance è il nuovo capitolo della band guidata dalla musicista e attrice Tamara Lindeman ed è il primo disco ad esser pubblicato da Fat Possum. La band è un progetto della cantante folk canadese Tamara Lindeman, arrivata al traguardo del quinto album. Il progetto è attivo dal 2006 ed è ad oggi tra le più interessanti realtà folk nordamericane, capaci si rifarsi tanto alle lezioni dei classici quanto di rendere moderne le produzioni dei loro lavori. Il nuovo album è stato registrato con una band composta dal batterista Kieran Adams, il bassista Ben Whiteley, il percussionista Philippe Melanson, Brodie West e Ryan Driver al sassofono e flauto, il tastierista Johnny Spence e la chitarrista Christine Bougie. Tamara Lindeman oltre a cantare e suonare piano e chitarra, ha scritto musica e testi e prodotto tutte le tracce del nuovo album insieme a Marcus Paquin.
