Con lavvicinarsi del Natale 1969, Jimi Hendrix, il bassista Billy Cox e il batterista Buddy Miles (battezzati come Band Of Gypsys da Hendrix) furono impegnati in lunghissime prove per le loro attesissime apparizioni al Fillmore East di New York. Per celebrare l'occasione, Jimi preparò questo speciale medley di brani preferiti delle feste per celebrare il Natale che rappresentava l'alba di un nuovo decennio. Questo medley include "Little Drummer Boy", "Silent Night" e " Auld Lang Syne ", oltre a "Three Little Bears", una versione giocosa di Electric Ladyland del 1968, il tutto pubblicato in un picture disc con la copertina dell'album da un lato e la foto di Jimi vestito da Babbo Natale sull'altro.
