On the Corner non è solo una semplice etichetta discografica. è la storia di artisti innovativi provenienti da tutto il mondo alle prese con musica antica e futura. "Door to the Cosmos" è la decima uscita delletichetta, (tolti una ventina di EP), esplorazioni soniche attraverso 24 brani di vecchi e nuovi artisti. Il titolo della compilation nasce grazie alla misconosciuta composizione ultraterrena e afro-futurista di Sun Ra che osa bussare alla porta del cosmo, da qui Door to the Cosmos. La compilation esprime totalmente lattitudine di On the Corner, mescolando le visioni di Miles Davis, il futurismo afro-centrico di Sun Ra, una musica elettronica in continua evoluzione, black music e dancefloor.
