Il miliardario Philip Dulaine, colpito da un infarto, chiede a sua nipote Cynthia di andarlo a trovare insieme al fidanzato che vuole conoscere da tempo. Poiché Warren non può andare insieme a lei, Cynthia elabora uno stratagemma per non dispiacere il nonno convincendo il suo amico Paul ad accompagnarla. Intanto Philip si è ristabilito e viene subito conquistato da Paul ma l'arrivo improvviso di Warren complica la situazione. Cynthia non sa come dividersi tra i due ragazzi che si scoprono rivali e non vorrebbe che suo nonno scoprisse la verità. Philip che ha capito da subito l'innocente trucco di sua nipote si diverte in ogni modo a crearle impacci. Alla fine anche Cynthia aprirà gli occhi e capirà che l'uomo che vuole sposare in realtà è Paul. Warren dovrà consolarsi con una stella nascente della televisione.
