Bobby Walker vive il sogno americano: ha un lavoro con uno stipendio a sei cifre, una bella famiglia e una porsche parcheggiata in garage. La sua vita viene però sconvolta quando la multinazionale per cui lavora, a seguito di una fusione con un'azienda più grande, lo licenzia insieme ai suoi colleghi Phil Woodward e Gene McClary.
