Nel 1936, Sonja Henie, la più grande pattinatrice sul ghiaccio del mondo, decide di trasferirsi a Hollywood per diventare una stella del cinema. Il suo primo film, nel 1937, ottiene un successo clamoroso. In poco tempo, Sonja diventa una delle donne più ricche del mondo ed è sempre circondata da ammiratori, amanti e familiari.
