Sette persone, con alle spalle trascorsi differenti, si ritrovano per caso assieme barricati in una casa isolata sotto l'assalto di un'orda di cadaveri ambulanti che si nutrono di carne umana. Tramite una televisione riescono a scoprire le possibili motivazioni di questo terribile morbo che sembra aver colpito quasi tutta l'America: una radiazione venusiana.
