Durante un picnic un giorno Marie-Jo mette la lama del coltello sul suo polso. Vorrebbe morire perchè non riesce a scegliere tra suo marito Daniel e il suo amante Marco che ama con la stessa intensità. Ma la vita di ogni giorno continua, le stagioni si susseguono, Daniel continua a costruire case e Marco seguita ad andare per mare.
