Un medico americano caccia la tigre in India per dimenticare i suoi dispiaceri coniugali. Un giorno, colpito dalla malaria, ferisce una belva che diventa mangiatrice d'uomini. Nella sua caccia all'animale il dottore incontra un bimbo reso orfano dalla tigre e una donna che, in seguito a un attacco della belva, non può aver figli e rischia di essere scacciata. Il medico morrà eroicamente per uccidere l'animale, e la donna, in sua memoria, adotterà il bambino.
