Chris Farley è Mike, la “pecora nera” della famiglia Donnelly. Suo fratello infatti è l’integerrimo Al, candidato alla carica di Governatore dello Stato di Washington. Per evitare i soliti “imprevisti” causati dal fratello, Al incarica uno dei suoi aiutanti, Steve Dodds (David Spade), di tenerlo sotto controllo. Ovviamente l’incarico non è così semplice come può sembrare, Mike e Steve insieme ne combineranno di tutti i colori.
