Il killer professionista John Wick non riesce proprio ad uscire dal giro. Ci aveva già provato nel primo film della serie ma il desiderio di vendetta lo aveva riportato ad uccidere. Nel Capitolo 2 a trascinarlo di nuovo dentro, come direbbe Michael Corleone, è un boss italiano, Santino D'Antonio, che vuole rubare il posto della sorella Gianna alla Gran Tavola, la cabina di comando del crimine mondiale che oltre alla mafia e alla camorra unisce tutti i supercattivi a capo di un universo largamente inconsapevole.
