A Carlstadt, il professor Callistratus, direttore di un sanatorio criminale, costringe il dottor John Pierre, prigioniero innocente, a collaborare nella sperimentazione sui gruppi sanguigni in vista di un mai tentato trapianto di cuore artificiale.
