Il film si propone di raccontare la storia delle origini del super eroe. Bruce Wayne diviene Batman, in seguito ad una terribile tragedia. Dopo avere assistito all’assassinio dei propri genitori, infatti, Bruce decide di combattere il male. Ereditando un’ingente fortuna dai genitori, il futuro Batman viaggia per il mondo per scoprire come far fronte alle malvagità che terrorizzano il mondo. Si imbatte in Ducart che diventa il suo mentore egli insegna a vincere la paura. Una volta tornato a Gotham City, nelle vesti dell’uomo pipistrello, Bruce usa ogni mezzo a sua disposizione per debellare le forze oscure che tengono in scacco la città. Aiutato da Alfred, il fedele maggiordomo, Batman deve combattere il male ma non sa che una sorpresa lo attende.
