Pietro vive in un vecchio appartamento di un altrettanto vecchio palazzo. La sua stanca e solitaria routine viene rotta da un'ordinanza di sfratto. Per non andarsene, mette in atto una strategia segreta: costruisce un muro in fondo al lungo corridoio dell’appartamento, un vero e proprio nascondiglio verticale dietro cui sparire. Il timore di venire scoperto diventa un'ossessione e ogni cosa lo fa sentire minacciato. Poi, un giorno, "il nemico" arriva davvero: è una madre disperata che vuole garantire un tetto alla figlia. Come reagirà Pietro? Che forma prenderà la sua guerra?
