Sam Martin con la moglie Lucy vivacchia affittando la sua imbarcazione (che sta ancora pagando) a turisti e pescatori che vanno in vacanza nella calda Florida. Messo alle strette dai creditori è costretto ad accettare l'offerta, in realtà piuttosto sospetta, di un losco personaggio che vuole essere portato con la sua ragazza a Cuba.
