Arnulfo Rubio è un giovane trafficante d’armi che lavora per un cartello messicano, trasportando ogni genere di arma da fuoco nello scompartimento segreto del suo SUV. Viene notato e pedinato da Hank Harris, agente veterano dell’ATF, che il ragazzo riesce comunque a sottomettere e rapire. Non sapendo cosa fare, decide di consegnarlo al suo cartello, mettendosi in viaggio sulle lunghe 600 miglia che lo separano dalla meta. Durante l’interminabile tragitto, i due non potranno che iniziare a conoscersi.
