Soul insight, pubblicato in origine nel 2014, si basa su 12 composizioni originali (e stellari) del giovane Marcus King, alla sua prima prova discografica. Un debutto in cui c'era già tutto quanto oggi conosciamo nel grande chitarrista e cantante: tre brani strumentali di sbalorditivo virtuosismo, un amore incondizionato per soul, blues e Southern rock, e più in generale un gusto ed una spontaneità da frequentatore e mattatore in jam senza fine. Questa è la prima volta che l'album viene reso disponibile al di fuori degli Stati Uniti, nonché la prima volta al mondo (gli amanti del vinile sono avvertiti) che vede la luce in doppio LP, al fine di preservare la massima qualità sonora.
