Dopo l'enorme successo globale del loro album di debutto Forever Young (1984), il trio tedesco ALPHAVILLE iniziò a scrivere un altro capitolo di successo nella loro carriera con l'uscita del loro secondo album in studio "Afternoons In Utopia" (1986). L'album raggiunse la Top20 in cinque paesi europei e conteneva i singoli Dance With Me, Universal Daddy e Jerusalem. Tre anni dopo tornarono con il loro terzo album in studio "The Breathtaking Blue" (1989).- "AFTERNOONS" è un luogo senza tempo in cui abbiamo avuto modo di continuare a suonare, ora che eravamo destinati a vivere per sempre. Il formato 2 CD presenta l'album rimasterizzato sul disco 1, mentre il disco 2 include 14 B-sides rimasterizzate, mix da 12" e 7", remix, demo e una rara versione live del singolo "Dance With Me", oltre a un libretto di 20 pagine.L'album è stato rimasterizzato per la prima volta.
