Alessandro, ventidue anni, è trasteverino ignorante e turbolento Giorgio, ottantacinque, è un poeta dimenticato. I due vivono a pochi passi l'uno dall'altro, ma non si sono mai incontrati, finché Alessandro è costretto ad accettare un lavoro come accompagnatore di quell'elegante signore in passeggiate pomeridiane.
