Anton Phibes, un celebre organista dato per morto in un incidente stradale, in cui è rimasto soltanto orribilmente sfigurato, è convinto che la sua bella moglie Victoria Regina, perita durante un'operazione chirurgica, sia stata vittima dell'incapacità dei medici.
