Minstrel in the Gallery fu lalbum dei Jethro Tull più acclamato sia per i meriti artistici che per la produzione elaborata dopo Thick as a Brick. Sebbene non manchino gli elementi di Folk Inglese, il disco è molto rock e forse ancora più aggressive di Aqualung. Il brano che dà il titolo allalbum è un esempio superbo della maestria della band che mixa melodie folk, passaggi cadenzati di flauto, umori arcaici quasi pre-Elisabettiani con un feroce impatto rock. Questa ristampa che viene pubblicata in occasione del 40esimo anniversario della pubblicazione, si presenta anche in versione doppio CD e+ Doppio DVD. Il DVD comprende I mix audio DTS e DD 5.1. surround più lo stereo mix 96/24 PCM. Inoltre un filmato di 9 minuti registrato a Parigi nel 1975. A corredare il tutto un libretto di 80 pagine.
