Annunciato originariamente il 17 gennaio 2007 durante uno spettacolo a Nashville, Tennessee, e il primo album in studio della band con il chitarrista Nels Cline e il polistrumentista Pat Sansone. Prima dell\'uscita, la band ha trasmesso in streaming l\'intero album sul suo sito ufficiale e ha offerto un download gratuito di "What Light".
