Album autobiografico per John Mayall. La maggior parte dei fan di Mayall sa che i suoi talenti non trascurabili sono stati eclissati dai successi molto più importanti degli ex Bluesbreaker come Peter Green, Mick Taylor ed Eric Clapton. Ma Mayall questa volta ha Joe Sublett che suona il sax, Tommy Eyre all'organo, Buddy Whittington alla chitarra e persino ospite John Lee Hooker in "Somebody's Watching" e "Bad Dream Catcher".
