La band ha anche cavalcato londa della surf-music ed Il loro big guitar sound stato molto influente negli anni Sessanta. Questo LP propone uno degli album pi celebri della band, The Ventures Play Telstar, che stato originariamente pubblicato dalla piccola etichetta Dolton nel 1962 ed da tempo non disponibile in vinile. Questo album ha contribuito a definire l'esatta natura del primo rock strumentale.
