Questo album è la versione giapponese, finora inedita sul mercato europeo, di un prezioso tesoro perduto della formazione di Monk più acclamata dalla critica: il quartetto con Charlie Rouse al sassofono, John Ore al contrabbasso e Frankie Dunlop alla batteria. Le tracce sono state registrate dal vivo a Copenaghen nel 1963 al culmine della carriera di Monk. Il formato vinile è un'autentica versione AAA (registrazione analogica, mix analogico, master analogico) che utilizza i nastri sorgente originali, rendendolo unedizione completamente analogica, perfetta per gli audiofili. Il master è inciso internamente dalla Gearbox con il tornio fonoincisore Haeco Scully del 1967, lo stesso tornio usato in passato dalla Blue Note.
