Il trombettista, compositore e produttore norvegese Nils Petter Molvaer offre con il suo 17 album la sua prima registrazione con un\'orchestra. Tutte e 6 le canzoni sono state pubblicate negli ultimi 35 anni su diversi album. Il produttore Jan Bang ha avuto l\'idea di ri-amplificare i mix suonando la musica attraverso gli altoparlanti in una sala da concerto seguita da una ri-registrazione del risultato attraverso microfoni distanti. Con 76 altoparlanti (uno per strumento) posizionati con cura esattamente come l\'orchestra sarebbe stata seduta sul palco, "Certainty of tides" e stato registrato da microfoni posizionati strategicamente nella grande sala della Kilden Concert House con un\'acustica fenomenale. L\'album ha un tocco di jazz, musica classica e da film. Parallel Molvaer e ancora ampiamente in tournee in tutto il mondo e continua a comporre musica per film, teatro e balletti.
