Questo LP contiene la prima sessione di Tony Bennett con il gigante del jazz e dello swing Count Basie: In Person. La loro collaborazione è costituita principalmente da due album registrati in studio: In Person (Columbia CS8104) e Count Basie and His Orchestra Swings /Tony Bennett Sings (Roulette SR27072). I brani qui contenuti furono registrati a Filadelfia. In origine lalbum doveva contenere una registrazione dal vivo di unesibizione nel Novembre del 1958 al Casinò Latino di Filadelfia ma la registrazione mono del concerto fu scartata dal produttore Al Ham che voleva l'album registrato in stereo. Bennett e Basie si reincontrarono un mese più tardi, in studio, per suonare dinuovo il concerto.
