Queste registrazioni sono state effettuate durante il primo tour europeo di Chet Baker nel 1955. è stato durante questo tour che il pianista del quartetto, il talentuoso Dick Twardzik, è tragicamente morto a Parigi a causa di unoverdose di eroina.
