L'album Know What I Mean? (Riverside R9-433) ha segnato la terza e ultima collaborazione tra Cannonball Adderley e Bill Evans al di fuori del loro lavoro con il mitico sestetto di Miles Davis (le loro registrazioni precedenti sono Portrait of Cannonball e Jump for Joy, entrambe del 1958). L'album rappresenta anche l'unica registrazione in cui i due suonano in quartetto, in questo disco sono infatti affiancati da Percy Heath al contrabbasso e Connie Kay alla batteria. Un altro brano tratto dalla stessa sessione, ma non presente sull'album originale, è stato aggiunto come bonus.
