Non c'è che dire: il modo migliore per festeggiare i suoi 75 anni, quello scelto da Dr. Lonnie Smith. Nel 2017 il grande organista riuniva al Jazz Standard di New York un gruppo di amici (oltre ai fidati Jonathan Kreisberg alla chitarra e Johnathan Blake alla batteria c'erano John Ellis al sax tenore, Jason Marshall al sax baritono, Sean Jones alla tromba e Robin Eubanks al trombone: ospite la voce di Alicia Olatuja). Ma non è finita: per esaudire un desiderio espresso dal noto rocker, Dr. Lonnie ha convocato in studio Iggy Pop per registrare "Why Can't We Live Together" e il celebre Sunshine Superman di Donovan (singolo che sarà inviato alle radio) per un incontro insolito e sorprendente.
