Il 1979 fu l'anno dei Motörhead, la band più rumorosa al mondo, con la pubblicazione degli album Overkill e Bomber, 10 volte più potenti dell'album di debutto Motörhead. La produzione fu opera di Jimmy Miller, già famoso per il lavoro fatto con i Rolling Stones, che fu in grado di tirare fuori il meglio della band e l'effetto finale fu letale. I due album sono una vera e propria bomba, in grado di stordirti grazie alla potenza del suono e contengono le hit Overkill, No Class e Bomber.
