I Mayhem hanno guadagnato notorietà nel mainstream grazie al film Lords Of Chaos del regista Jonas åkerlund (autore di videoclip per Metallica, Madonna, Rammstein, U2, Beyoncé, The Prodigy etc.), che vede la partecipazione dei figli di Val Kilmer, Uwe Ochsenknecht, Stellan Skarsgård e il fratellino di Macaulay Culkin, Rory Culkin. Il film è stato presentato al Sundance Film Festival 2018.
