Nonesuch Records pubblica il Concerto per Violino e Orchestra scritto da John Adams nel 1993 e in questa edizione interpretato dalla violinista Leila Josefowicz, accompagnata dalla St. Louis Symphony diretta da David Robertson.Questa composizione venne commissionata a suo tempo dalla Minnesota Orchestra, insieme alla London Symphony Orchestra e al New York City Ballet. La prima incisione assoluta venne pubblicata sempre da Nonesuch nel 1996, con protagonista Gidon Kremer e la London Symphony Orchestra diretta da Kent Nagano.Il desiderio di incidere nuovamente questo concerto nasce dalla intensa collaborazione e magnifica intesa con la violinista Leila Josefowicz, già dedicataria di Scheherazade.2 in anni recenti.
