Durante la quarantena, mentre era impegnata in una serie di performance live in streaming per supportare i Blue Note Club di Tokio e New York, la stella del pianoforte jazz Hiromi compose la Silver Lining Suite. è una composizione per piano e quartetto d'archi (due violini, vola e violoncello) in quattro movimenti. In passato Hiromi ha registrato i suoi album negli Stati Uniti, ma tanto a causa delle restrizioni imposte dalla pandemia, quanto per la natura intrinseca di quest'opera, la suite è il suo primo album giapponese. Registrato da Mick M. Sawaguchi del Mick Sound Lab, mixato e masterizzato da Robert Friedrich presso Five/Four Productions. Oltre alla Silver Lining Suite l'album contiene cinque altri brani, sempre composti da Hiromi, in cui il suo scintillante pianismo è protagonista.
