I Bonded sono il nuovo gruppo degli ex membri di lunga data dei Sodom, Bernd "Bernemann" Kost (chitarre) e Markus "Makka" Freiwald (batteria), con anche il secondo chitarrista Chris Tsitsis (ex-Suicidal Angels), il bassista Marc Hauschild e il cantante Ingo Bajonczak (Assassin) che completano la formazione. "Into Blackness" segue senza problemi l'acclamato "Rest In Violence" del 2020, che è riuscito ad entrare nelle classifiche ufficiali in Germania al numero 84 L'album è stato prodotto da Cornelius "Corny" Rambadt alla Rambado Recordings (Sodom, Disbelief, Onkel Tom) e il suo artwork è stato ancora una volta creato da Björn Gooßes / Killustrations (Aborted, The Crown, Carnal Forge).
