Continua la ricerca musicale di Brian Blade, lo straordinario e poliedrico batterista (noto per la sua militanza nel pluripremiato quartetto di Wayne Shorter): musicista a tutto tondo, ormai sempre più dedito alla composizione, festeggia qui il ventesimo anno dellormai rodatissima Fellowship Band, la cui formazione è rimasta nella sostanza stabile dallesordio discografico (avvenuto sempre su Blue Note nel 1998). In questo album ad alto tasso di poesia ritroviamo quindi il pianista e collaboratore Jon Cowherd, Myron Walden (sax alto e clarinetto basso), Melvin Butler (sax tenore e soprano) e Chris Thomas al basso. In aggiunta, una novità: la chitarra di Dave Devine.
