Andrea è un neurochirurgo, Sofia un volto televisivo emergente. Sono sposati da parecchi anni, hanno due figli piccoli, e non ne possono più l'uno dell'altra. Li incontriamo durante la loro prima seduta di terapia di coppia, polarizzati sulle rispettive posizioni, incapaci di comprendere le reciproche difficoltà. Ci penserà il destino, e un esperimento scientifico mal riuscito, a far entrare Andrea nel corpo di Sofia e Sofia nel corpo di Andrea, con esiti ovviamente tragicomici.
