Anche qui troviamo lorgano Hammond, strumento principe del soul jazz, in questo caso affidato alle mani (ed ai piedi) di un fuoriclasse come Dr. Lonnie Smith, che nel 1969 riuniva una band da sogno: Lee Morgan alla tromba, Julian Priester al trombone, Bennie Maupin al sax tenore, Melvin Sparks (partner perfetto per tanti organisti) alla chitarra, ed il funky drummer Leo Morris (alias Idris Muhammad).
