Lee ?Scratch? Perry era un produttore discografico, cantautore e cantante giamaicano noto per le sue tecniche innovative in studio e il suo stile di produzione. Perry è stato un pioniere nello sviluppo della musica dub negli anni \'70, grazie al suo precoce utilizzo del remix e degli effetti in studio per creare nuove versioni strumentali o vocali di brani reggae esistenti. Ha lavorato e prodotto per una grande varietà di artisti, tra cui Bob Marley and the Wailers, Junior Murvin, the Congos, Max Romeo, Adrian Sherwood, Beastie Boys, Ari Up, the Clash, the Orb e molti altri.
