I CRADLE OF FILTH hanno registrato il nuovo album durante il 2020, in isolamento, ai Grindstone Studios nel Suffolk con il guru dello studio Scott Atkins (Devilment/Benediction/Vader). Sebbene sia subito riconoscibile come opera di questi veterani, il tredicesimo album dei CRADLE OF FILTH e un lavoro completamente diverso dai suoi predecessori. Nero come la pece, perverso e a volte assurdamente brutale ed estremo, e sospeso con una fluidita  ipnotizzante. Lalbum ha anche tante melodie grandiose e travolgenti e momenti di invenzione sbalorditiva. Nessuno potrebbe mai dire che brani come "How Many Tears To Nurture A Rose?" o la ballad "Discourse Between A Man And His Soul" non hanno il suono dei CRADLE OF FILTH ma "Existence Is Futile" conferma il desiderio di esplorare della band che rimane piu forte che mai.
