Questo LP presenta il primo album di Gene Vincent, l'affascinante Blue Jean Bop!. La bravura di Gene Vincent and the Blu Caps come rock and rollers, non fa sentire la mancanza di canzoni originali per l'album la canzone che da il titolo allalbum è affiancata da alcuni standard rock (Up a Lazy River, Peg O My Heart, e Aint She Sweet), due ballate country (Wedding Bells e The Waltz of The Wind ), e alcuni rave-up ((Jumps, Giggles and Shouts). Anche se nessuno dei primi successi di Gene Vincent è stato mai incluso in un LP (canzoni come Be-Bop-A-Lula e Race with the Devil furono pubblicate solo come singoli), in queste esibizioni ci sono la forza e la grinta che fanno di questo album lo zenith del rockabilly.
