Mascella dacciaio, voce potente, grande tanto nei brani piu aggressivi quanto nelle ballads (delle quali era un maestro riconosciuto): questo era Ike Quebec, forse uno dei piu sinceri (e personali) discepoli del grande Coleman Hawkins. Qui e (ovviamente al sax tenore) con Freddie Roach allorgano Hammond, Milt Hinton al contrabbasso e Al Harewood alla batteria. Grande soul jazz datato 1961.
