The Classic Vinyl Reissue Series e da considerarsi unideale continuazione dellacclamata serie di ristampe Blue Note 80 (BN80) varata in occasione degli 80 anni delletichetta blu. La Classic Series ripropone dunque, su vinile da 180 grammi stampato da Optimal in Germania, grandi classici ripresi dai nastri originali e masterizzati da Kevin Gray.
