Nel 1977, nel mezzo di un periodo di disordini politici e sociali che passo alla storia italiana come "anni di piombo", lo sceneggiatore e regista Massimo Pirri fece un film che nessun altro aveva il coraggio di fare: Italia: ultimo atto? (Qui Pirri esplora il tema controverso (e, negli anni \'70, molto attuale) della lotta armata di sinistra. Lo fa attraverso una trama quasi profetica: nel film, un misterioso gruppo armato di ultrasinistra progetta ed esegue l\'uccisione del Ministero dell\'Interno; nel 1978 il leader democristiano ed ex premier Aldo Moro fu rapito e ucciso dalle Brigate Rosse marxiste-leniniste).
