Tutto è iniziato con l'uscita di "With Friends From The Orchestra" nel 2019, quando Marillion hanno collaborato con "In Praise of Folly", un quartetto d'archi accompagnato da corno francese corno e flauto, per registrare un album straordinario pieno di tesori dei Marillion ri-arrangiati. Lo stesso anno, i Marillion portarono queste versioni molto speciali in tour e aggiunsero anche alcune canzoni come "Gaza" e "Zeparated Out" alla scaletta, presentandole in una luce completamente nuova luce. "With Friends At St David's" non è solo un album dal vivo visivamente e sonicamente notevole, ma anche una dedizione ad attraversare i confini musicali e fare "amici" al di fuori di un genere e dall'universo musicale. Il DVD e il Blu-ray di questa uscita offrono ancora di più, in quantovengono con il documentario inedito "Making Friends", che mostra Marillion in studio durante la realizzazione di "With Friends From The Orchestra".
