Qualunque sia il gruppo con cui Eric Clapton si e presentato, e diventato inevitabilmente un "supergruppo". I suoi sforzi del 1969 nei Blind Faith e nella Plastic Ono Band diedero alla fine origine a Derek and the Dominoes, ma soprattutto alla sua fertile relazione con Delaney e Bonnie.
