Nel 2008 David Bowie confidò al produttore Mario McNulty che avrebbe voluto rielaborare lalbum Never Let Me Down.Il produttore ci lavorò nel 2008 seguendo le indicazioni di Bowie e il risultato è un album più dark delloriginale, a cui è stata tolta la tipica sovrapproduzione degli anni 80 per un suono più scarno e moderno.In attesa delluscita del cofanetto Loving The Alien (1983-1988) il 12 ottobre, dal 7 settembre sarà disponibile in edizione limitata il singolo 7 pollici picture disc con le due tracce Zeroes (2018) (Radio Edit) e Beat Of Your Drum (2018) (Radio Edit). Queste due radio edit non saranno incluse nel cofanetto.Il picture disc include due immagini esclusive del fotografo Greg Gorman, estrapolate dalla sessione fotografica originale per la copertina dellalbum Never Let Me Down.
