Intitolato all\'omonimo spettacolo teatrale scritto da Waits e dalla moglie Kathleen Brennan, Franks Wild Years è stato messo in scena dalla Steppenwolf Theatre Company di Chicago nel 1986. Franks Wild Years è un\'iterazione del brano "Frank\'s Wild Years" dell\'album Swordfishtrombones di Waits del 1983.
