La carriera del frontman dei Clash Joe Strummer, scomparso alletà di 50 anni il 22 dicembre 2002, verrà celebrata con una nuova raccolta in uscita il prossimo 26 marzo per la Dark Horse Records. In ASSEMBLY saranno contenute anche le registrazioni audio mai pubblicate prima di I fought the law e Rudie cant fail dei Clash, che Joe Strummer ha eseguito dal vivo il 24 novembre 2001 alla Brixton Academy di Londra. Il disco ospiterà, inoltre, una versione acustica realizzata da Strummer di Junco partner, brano tratto da Sandinista!, quarto album in studio dato alle stampe dalla formazione di London calling nel 1980. ASSEMBLY sarà disponibile in formato CD digipack, doppio LP standard e doppio LP rosso, con note di copertina scritte da Jacob Dylan.
